Reasons to volunteer in Bariloche, Patagonia.

Perhaps, travelling in Argentina & South America has been your dream for a very long time, and while traveling you have learned that being a tourist is not your favourite way of getting to know new places.
Maybe you felt you needed to do something, and were eager to participate in any possible way!

As you have probably noticed, recession has prompted increasing interest in Volunteering. Some people are determined to turn economic downturn into a positive thing by using their time and effort to do something worthwhile. Others are looking for a placement abroad since this can be their a chance to gain experience and training that could help facilitate a career change.

Spanish in Bariloche has been organising volunteer opportunities in Patagonia for many years, originally, as a complement for its Spanish programs. For our students, this has been a great way to improve conversational Spanish and while at the same time helping others.  Many people, willing to be part of the solution, moved by the pleasure of travelling, meeting new people, and seeing new places, joined our projects while making a positive impact in the community. Along these years of positive experience, we have found many non-profit and charity local organisations: educational, environmental, social and scientific projects.  Among these, we have selected a variety of interesting possible volunteer placements, meaningful for the community where they take place. We are sure that, by joining any of them, volunteers can be part of a community and experience the place slowly, from within.

Sometimes, people intending to volunteer overseas try to find a good choice but choose the wrong organisation, paying, unintentionally, for the marketing and administration of a volunteer-sending foreign agency. Spanish in Bariloche is a locally run organisation, very careful as regards choosing real projects and making sure all the money from volunteers goes to the cause they are joining.

If you have the sense that now is when, if you feel this is your time to get away and spend some time abroad doing something worthwhile, take a look at the volunteer options we have selected for you.

A very nice School, with very understanding and patient teachers. Course tailored to me and my girlfriend as we didn't know a word of Spanish and we wanted to learn the necesaties for travelling. We both feel confident in restaurants and understanding numbers, prices, asking directions, etc. We also have the building blocks of Spanish to be able to make sentences as are vocab builds. If you are a begginer ask for the vocab sheets in the first couple of lessons as this will help to understand the course and enhance your ability to speak to people.

Bariloche Spanish School was a muy divertido place to learn the spanish we so desperately needed to travel around Sout America. The school staff are very friendly and a comfortable working environment.
Muchas gracias, hasta pronto.
